EDF: 1,500 customers still without electricity in French Quarter and Terres Basses

Today at 10:00 am a technical incident occurred following the failure of an electrical equipment located at the EDF plant in Galisbay, says EDF in a press release.

This incident has caused the interruption of electric supply with 13 000 clients affected on the island. Following the intervention of technical teams, almost all of the clients had electricity supply restored at 11:15 am. 1500 customers of the neighbourhoods of Quartier d’Orléans et Terres Basses are still without electricity. Return to a normal situation is expected around 13:00 pm.
